What to Expect from Your Jeuveau Treatment
Arrive at your appointment with clean skin if possible. You’ll recline comfortably on a padded treatment table while your provider cleanses and disinfects your skin; you may request a topical numbing cream if desired.
Your provider will prepare vials of Jeuveau based on how many units you need for the treatment areas, then perform the Jeuveau injections. It only takes ten to fifteen minutes, on average, to complete Jeuveau treatments.
Recovery and Aftercare
Jeuveau injections don’t require downtime. Once your appointment is over, you can resume your day as usual.

Good candidates for Jeaveau are adults who wish to improve the appearance of crow’s feet and glabellar lines. These are the only FDA-approved uses for Jeuveau.
Off-label uses for Jeuveau (which other botulinum toxin injections may also address) include:
- Abnormal sweating. Neurotoxin injections can treat abnormal sweating, also called hyperhidrosis, by preventing specific nerves from activating the sweat glands.
- Frown lines. These fine lines and creases appear over a lifetime of frowning, laughing, smoking, and smiling.
- Vertical neck lines. Botulinum toxin injections can smooth pronounced lines and help better define the jawline.
- Migraines. Injectable neurotoxins such as botulinum toxin can ease the symptoms of persistent migraine headaches in some individuals.

Are Jeuveau treatments safe?

- Dry eye
- Elevated white blood cell count
- Headache

Rarely, the botulinum toxin in Jeuveau can move into different areas of the body. This can cause difficulty breathing, swallowing, and speaking. It can also cause full-body muscle weakness. If you experience these side effects, contact your doctor right away.
